Sleeping 2-5 this cleverly converted former mill makes the ideal base for families, a group of friends, or couples looking to enjoy all that Perthshire has to offer. Within its thick stone walls this much loved cottage offers wonderful self-catering accommodation. The open plan living room has double height windows making the most of the stunning views and the wood burning stove ensures guests will be cosy all year round. A well equipped kitchen ( oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine) and dining area make the ideal space for entertaining.  Also on the ground floor the twin bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, single bedroom and family shower room.

The cottage is enclosed by its own private garden with decked seating area where guests can soak up the lovely open views and relax whilst enjoying the gentle sound of the former lade which runs to the side of the mill.

Killiecrankie is a paradise for walkers and nature lovers. On a not-so-fine day? A blissful place in which to hole up and read, plan your outings, watch the weather. This is one of the prettiest areas of Scotland, with mountains, glens and some of the loveliest lochs more or less on the doorstep. The nearby A9 will take you swiftly north to the Cairngorms, Aviemore and Inverness. Perthshire offers an abundance of outdoor activities for all ages and tastes. Watersports, fishing, Horse riding, Mountain Biking and, for the more intrepid visitor, extreme sports, are all also available locally.

All heating, electric and logs for the burner are included.

Ben linen and towels are provided.

Well behaved pets by arrangement £25 per pet

Sorry no smoking in the cottage.

New for 2017
This year, we're making a few changes around the grounds to extend the range of flowers and facilities. So - we are taking in an area of rocky banking as a wild flower area, and are sowing some flax in the little bed overlooking the valley of the River Garry(this having originally been a Flax Mill). To the bench beside the little flower bed, we have added a small table, while a second, garden shed has been installed beside the parking area. This will leave the lower, locking shed free for guests' bikes and kit. In response to suggestions from guests we will try to ensure cooking oil is available while an extendable washing line will also be provided. Oh, and we have renewed the 3 piece suite in the living area down stairs.
We also now have a tame, cock pheasant although he just arrived - he wasn't actually installed.

As always , further suggestions are gratefully received.
