Newly refurbished Tomban Cottage enjoys a charming rural setting with wonderful views across the Perthshire hills. The relaxed and inviting atmosphere of the cottage makes it the perfect base for walking, exploring or simply relaxing and watching the world go by. Sleeping 2-6, this traditional stone cottage offers comfortable and welcoming self-catering accommodation for couples, families or groups looking for a peaceful retreat in highland Perthshire.

Tomban Cottage sits within an acre of informal garden ground, surrounded by hill grazing.  There is ample parking.
 
 
Just a mile from the cottage is  the famous House of Bruar  - a fabulous shopping and dining experience not to be missed. The bustling highland town of Pitlochry (9m) has a famous Festival Theatre, Hydro Dam and fish ladder, golf course and Scotland's smallest distillery, while Blair Atholl (3 miles),is  home to  Blair Castle, local shops, the award-winning Watermill bakery and cafe, golf course  and in August each year, hosts the International Blair Atholl Horse Trials.
Loch Tay (water sports, replica Iron Age Crannog), Loch Tummel and Rannoch Moor are less than an hours drive from the cottage. Easy access to the A9 trunk road makes Tomban the perfect base for touring in all directions , whether to the popular ski resort of Aviemore (48 miles), Inverness (78 miles), Perth (37 miles) or, by branching off at Dalwhinnie, heading across to the spectacular west coast.

Bedding and towels supplied - Please specify bed configuration when booking.
 
Well behaved dogs welcome ( £25 per pet, maximum of 2). Please note dogs must be kept on a lead when outside the cottage.
 
Private water supply.
 
The access to the cottage driveway is directly from main A9, the track up to the cottage is winding and unsurfaced.

A 25% deposit secures your holiday with the balance payable 7 weeks prior to the start of your stay.

 

Tomban Cottage Terms & Conditions

  1. Home From Home Perthshire- act only as agents for the owners of Highland Perthshire, Scotland, self-catering holiday cottages featured on its website. The hiring contract is between the holiday maker & the Perthshire self-catering cottage owner. The receipt of a signed booking form/e-mail confirmation and/or payment of the non- refundable deposit is deemed to be a firm booking and it is assumed that the hirer has read & agrees to the conditions as found on our website.
  2. If accepted the hirer becomes liable for the full remaining balance of the charges which are due seven weeks prior to the commencement date of their Highland Perthshire self-catering holiday.This includes short break cottage bookings. Non-payment of the balance by the due date will result in the Agency regarding the self-catering cottage as being available for re-booking.
  3. In the event a Hirer cancels a confirmed self-catering cottage booking he/she remains liable for payment of the full cost of the holiday. Upon receipt of written confirmation of the cancellation from the Hirer, we will attempt to re-let the holiday cottage and if successful will make a full refund to the hirer less an administration fee of £50 and any other expenses incurred in re-letting the holiday cottage.
  4. The number of persons occupying one of our Highland Perthshire self-catering cottages must not exceed the maximum occupancy level stated in the cottage details. Holiday home owners reserve the right to end occupancy of their Scottish self-catering cottage without notice or refund in the case of a breach of this condition.
  5. The hirer is fully liable for the condition of the self-catering cottage and its contents for the period of their holiday (fair wear & tear excepted). The hirer will make good any damage or loss & leave the self-catering cottage & its contents in a clean & orderly condition. The individual who signed the booking form will be held responsible for the hiring party.
  6. Comprehensive conditions and restrictions applying to each of our Scottish Highlands self-catering cottages (e.g. good housekeeping deposits, limitations on pets, children, short breaks etc) will be stated in each individual holiday cottage description & form part of these Hiring Terms & Conditions.
  7. Owners reserve the right to refuse to hand over occupancy of their self-catering cottage to any person/s that in their opinion, is not appropriate to take charge.In this eventuality hire charges will be refunded in full & the liability of the owner shall cease. Without prior consent properties are not available for hire to single sex groups, stag / hen parties.
  8. If an owner is prevented , due to situations beyond their control, (e.g. fire damage, flood, drought or the interruption of utility supplies),from putting their self-catering cottage at the disposal of the Hirer, the hire charge shall be refunded in full but the Hirer shall have no further claim against the owner.This includes short break bookings of hoilday cottages
  9. Home From Home Perthshire have taken every care to ensure the correctness of their Highland Perthshire self-catering holiday cottages descriptions and all information is given in good faith and deemed accurate, but the Agency cannot be held responsible for changes beyond their control or be liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of the owner resulting in loss, injury or accident caused to the Hirer.
