Sleeping 8 this dramatic and inspiring church conversion offers exceptional self-catering accommodation for groups, family holidays and special celebrations. Blairingone is a small rural village enjoying a particularly accessible, central location within Scotland. There are beautiful countryside walks nearby, including the famous Loch Leven Heritage Trail, where the popular Loch Leven Larder organic farm shop and restaurant can be found.

The picturesque town of Dollar (2 miles) sits within the beautiful Orchil Hills enjoys a delightful variety of shops, cafes and restaurants. Best known today for Dollar Academy, one of Scotland's most respected private schools, Dollar flourished during the 19th century as a textile centre and turnpike station. Nearby Kinross is an attractive town which offers a wider range of local facilities including shops, restaurants, supermarket and two golf courses.

The countryside surrounding Blairingone provides a wonderful setting and ample opportunities for the outdoor enthusiast. Loch Leven is well-known for its superb trout fishing, and the beautiful landscape provides excellent walking, cycling and riding opportunities. Knockhill Racing Circuit offers a range of events for motor sports enthusiasts. There are many golf courses nearby including Saline (9 holes), Alloa, Tulliallan, Dunfermline, and St Andrews, the home of golf is 39 miles to the east. Gleneagles, venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup is just a 20 minute drive.

Accommodation over three floors comprises:

Impressive entrance hall with original stained glass window, wood flooring and bespoke timber staircase. Spacious open plan living and dining room with wonderful stained glass window, TV, DVD. Partial dividing wall between kitchen and living room.

Fabulous contemporary kitchen with integrated microwave, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Induction hob with extractor.

Door to rear vestibule / boot room, shower room.

Second floor:  Galleried landing, two large bedrooms both with access to elegant Jack and Jill bathroom. Ingenious feature glass wall panel and suspended ceiling allows guests to view the stain glass window opposite and kitchen below

Third floor:  Two twin bedrooms each with their own en-suite shower room and ample storage. Large Velux windows overlook woodlands and open countryside beyond.

Blairingone church has been converted to offer fabulous self-catering accommodation.

The grounds remain a peaceful local cemetery.

Electric by meter reading - payable to owner on departure.

Bed linen and towels are provided.

Sorry no smoking in the property.

A refundable good housekeeping deposit will be required.

Our office hours are 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am - 3.00pm Saturday.

A 25% deposit secures your holiday with the balance payable 7 weeks prior to the start of your stay.


Blairingone Church Terms & Conditions

  1. Home From Home Perthshire- act only as agents for the owners of Highland Perthshire, Scotland, self-catering holiday cottages featured on its website. The hiring contract is between the holiday maker & the Perthshire self-catering cottage owner. The receipt of a signed booking form/e-mail confirmation and/or payment of the non- refundable deposit is deemed to be a firm booking and it is assumed that the hirer has read & agrees to the conditions as found on our website.
  2. If accepted the hirer becomes liable for the full remaining balance of the charges which are due seven weeks prior to the commencement date of their Highland Perthshire self-catering holiday.This includes short break cottage bookings. Non-payment of the balance by the due date will result in the Agency regarding the self-catering cottage as being available for re-booking.
  3. In the event a Hirer cancels a confirmed self-catering cottage booking he/she remains liable for payment of the full cost of the holiday. Upon receipt of written confirmation of the cancellation from the Hirer, we will attempt to re-let the holiday cottage and if successful will make a full refund to the hirer less an administration fee of £50 and any other expenses incurred in re-letting the holiday cottage.
  4. The number of persons occupying one of our Highland Perthshire self-catering cottages must not exceed the maximum occupancy level stated in the cottage details. Holiday home owners reserve the right to end occupancy of their Scottish self-catering cottage without notice or refund in the case of a breach of this condition.
  5. The hirer is fully liable for the condition of the self-catering cottage and its contents for the period of their holiday (fair wear & tear excepted). The hirer will make good any damage or loss & leave the self-catering cottage & its contents in a clean & orderly condition. The individual who signed the booking form will be held responsible for the hiring party.
  6. Comprehensive conditions and restrictions applying to each of our Scottish Highlands self-catering cottages (e.g. good housekeeping deposits, limitations on pets, children, short breaks etc) will be stated in each individual holiday cottage description & form part of these Hiring Terms & Conditions.
  7. Owners reserve the right to refuse to hand over occupancy of their self-catering cottage to any person/s that in their opinion, is not appropriate to take charge.In this eventuality hire charges will be refunded in full & the liability of the owner shall cease. Without prior consent properties are not available for hire to single sex groups, stag / hen parties.
  8. If an owner is prevented , due to situations beyond their control, (e.g. fire damage, flood, drought or the interruption of utility supplies),from putting their self-catering cottage at the disposal of the Hirer, the hire charge shall be refunded in full but the Hirer shall have no further claim against the owner.This includes short break bookings of hoilday cottages
  9. Home From Home Perthshire have taken every care to ensure the correctness of their Highland Perthshire self-catering holiday cottages descriptions and all information is given in good faith and deemed accurate, but the Agency cannot be held responsible for changes beyond their control or be liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of the owner resulting in loss, injury or accident caused to the Hirer.
