ELRIG HOUSE, Old Struan, By Pitlochry, is a contemporary home surrounded by beautiful Highland Perthshire countryside, just 6 miles from Blair Atholl and 11 miles from Pitlochry. This welcoming holiday home is furnished to the highest standard and provides all home comforts.

Accommodation comprises:

Entrance porch and hallway leading to the open-plan living room ( Smart TV with Sky package) well equipped kitchen and dining area.

Two charming twin bedrooms both light and bright with ample storage.

Family bathroom.

Upstairs is a very spacious double bedroom with en-suite shower room and wonderful views across the surrounding countryside.

Rear garden and patio area with table and chairs

Large private driveway.


The peaceful hamlet of Old Struan is only a few miles from the A9 and halfway between Edinburgh and Inverness, offering excellent road connections in all directions. Elrig is within easy reach of  Pitlochry, with its celebrated Festival Theatre and bustling high street. Guests travelling from a distance can also arrive by train at Blair Atholl and car hire is available in Pitlochry. 

Nearby Blair Castle in Blair Atholl is the seat of the Dukes of Atholl. The castle and impressive grounds are open to visitors and the Atholl Highlanders parade takes place during the Atholl Gathering in May. In August the Castle hosts the Blair Castle International Horse Trials, one of Scotland’s premier equestrian events. For food lovers sampling the bread and other goodies on offer at Blair Atholl`s superb Watermill cafe is a must. The village also offers golf, trekking on the estates highland ponies and mountain bike hire.

Day trips to some of the loveliest lochs in Scotland, Tummel, Tay and Rannoch,  are all easily achievable from Elrig House, while lovers of wildlife will find it in abundance here. There are excellent walks right from the door and the area is  well known for its fishing opportunities.

Our office hours are 9.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 9.00am - 3.00pm Saturday.

A 25% deposit secures your holiday with the balance payable 7 weeks prior to the start of your stay.

Elrig House, Old Struan Terms & Conditions

  1. Home From Home Perthshire- act only as agents for the owners of Highland Perthshire, Scotland, self-catering holiday cottages featured on its website. The hiring contract is between the holiday maker & the Perthshire self-catering cottage owner. The receipt of a signed booking form/e-mail confirmation and/or payment of the non- refundable deposit is deemed to be a firm booking and it is assumed that the hirer has read & agrees to the conditions as found on our website.
  2. If accepted the hirer becomes liable for the full remaining balance of the charges which are due seven weeks prior to the commencement date of their Highland Perthshire self-catering holiday.This includes short break cottage bookings. Non-payment of the balance by the due date will result in the Agency regarding the self-catering cottage as being available for re-booking.
  3. In the event a Hirer cancels a confirmed self-catering cottage booking he/she remains liable for payment of the full cost of the holiday. Upon receipt of written confirmation of the cancellation from the Hirer, we will attempt to re-let the holiday cottage and if successful will make a full refund to the hirer less an administration fee of £50 and any other expenses incurred in re-letting the holiday cottage.
  4. The number of persons occupying one of our Highland Perthshire self-catering cottages must not exceed the maximum occupancy level stated in the cottage details. Holiday home owners reserve the right to end occupancy of their Scottish self-catering cottage without notice or refund in the case of a breach of this condition.
  5. The hirer is fully liable for the condition of the self-catering cottage and its contents for the period of their holiday (fair wear & tear excepted). The hirer will make good any damage or loss & leave the self-catering cottage & its contents in a clean & orderly condition. The individual who signed the booking form will be held responsible for the hiring party.
  6. Comprehensive conditions and restrictions applying to each of our Scottish Highlands self-catering cottages (e.g. good housekeeping deposits, limitations on pets, children, short breaks etc) will be stated in each individual holiday cottage description & form part of these Hiring Terms & Conditions.
  7. Owners reserve the right to refuse to hand over occupancy of their self-catering cottage to any person/s that in their opinion, is not appropriate to take charge.In this eventuality hire charges will be refunded in full & the liability of the owner shall cease. Without prior consent properties are not available for hire to single sex groups, stag / hen parties.
  8. If an owner is prevented , due to situations beyond their control, (e.g. fire damage, flood, drought or the interruption of utility supplies),from putting their self-catering cottage at the disposal of the Hirer, the hire charge shall be refunded in full but the Hirer shall have no further claim against the owner.This includes short break bookings of hoilday cottages
  9. Home From Home Perthshire have taken every care to ensure the correctness of their Highland Perthshire self-catering holiday cottages descriptions and all information is given in good faith and deemed accurate, but the Agency cannot be held responsible for changes beyond their control or be liable for any act, neglect or default on the part of the owner resulting in loss, injury or accident caused to the Hirer.
