What Our Guests Say

We really enjoyed our short stay and wished we’d had longer to appreciate the flat, the spacious comfortable lounge, the lovely decor and all the lovely little touches like lemongrass shower products. We’re relatively new to self-catering but have stayed in four this year. This knocked the others into a cocked hat! I honestly can’t think of anything I’d improve. It was all great! I would give six stars if I could. We’ll definitely return.

August 2022

We had an amazing relaxing stay, the flat is beautiful and the location is perfect, we enjoyed lovely walks along the river and over the bridge to Dunkeld where there are a great selection of bars, restaurants and cafes. The garden was perfect for having breakfast in the morning or enjoying a glass of wine in the evening, we loved every moment of our stay.

We loved our visit to this cosy, clean and well appointed luxury apartment in the heart of Birnam. It was easy to walk into Dunkeld where there are plenty of cafés and shops or stroll along the river and just enjoy the beautiful scenery. We enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing break with every home comfort and would definitely return at any time of the year.

Lovely apartment with top quality and detail. Beautiful furnishings and crockery , lovely comfy bed and bedding. Stunning bathroom and kitchen ( love open plan with both dining table and comfortable sofas & massive TV . The flooring throughout is perfect , no need for slippers. Lovely private garden but we didn’t get a chance to enjoy as it was a wedding weekend but next time for sure. Goodies left too as in oatcakes , shortbread, tea, coffee, sugar etc I’d say this is a pretty perfect apartment in beautiful peaceful grounds in our favourite place in Scotland. We felt truly spoilt. Birnam has a mainline railway station which offers sleeper services to London, as well as more local connections to Perth, Pitlochry, Inverness, Edinburgh and Stirling.

The historic town of Dunkeld is a short walk from Birnam on the banks of the River Tay. Once the ecclesiastical capital of Scotland, Dunkeld is steeped in Scottish history and is the setting of the magnificent Dunkeld Cathedral, which dates to the 14th Century. Today, Dunkeld surves visitors and the local community with a wonderful selection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.

The bustling highland town of Pitlochry lies 13 miles to the north and is best known for its theatre, hydroelectric dam and fish ladder.

Often described as the gateway to the Highlands, Birnam and Dunkeld have long been popular tourist destinations.
