What Our Guests Say

So lucky to have found this place, we had such a relaxing week which was helped by the beautiful weather. Will be looking to book for a few days soon, so hopefully we can book this Lodge. Loved listening to the birds and the peace and quiet. David and Tricia

If you are looking for somewhere a bit out of the ordinary and off the beaten track where you can be surrounded by nature, but still experience a bit of luxury, we’d highly recommend Rocksite.

What a beautiful location and an amazing cabin, we had a wonderful stay. The wildlife watching will be missed when we return to the city, sitting out watching the birds, deer and the red squirrels has been so relaxing. The location is also perfect for stargazing, a couple of clear nights meant some amazing photos were taken of the starry skies. The cosy cabin topped off a lovely break.

We had a great time staying at Rocksite. It is one of the best hidden of the log cabins in the area, so you really do get a great deal of privacy to just relax. The cabin itself is very spacious and whether you are staying as a couple (as we were) or in a group there is loads of space in each of the numerous rooms. Even the toilets are roomy! And of course all the walls and ceilings are made of thick solid wood logs. Despite being off the beaten track the cabin had absolutely everything we could have wanted; all mod cons, good showers, heating throughout, wifi, plenty of power sockets and all the appliances you’d expect. This spacious and welcoming log cabin in the Highlands is tucked away amongst the woodlands of Glen Derby. Seamlessly blending into the surrounding wilderness and built with the environment in mind, the grass insulated roof and cosy wood burner add to the unique charm of Rocksite. Regular visits from local deer, resident birds and red squirrels to the garden make this log cabin a haven for wildlife and wildlife lovers alike !
