Book This Cottage

Just wanted to say a big thank you to you and the owners of the Old Mill for letting us have the place to ourselves for those 4 days at such a short notice. The Old Mill is a fantastic place with all the comfort from home away from home all this with fantastic views and total quietness around! We feel all recharged again!!! Hopefully we'll be back in Perthshire before the end of the year! Thanks again, Mani

Wonderful location with beautiful scenery with walks for us and the dogs. Brilliant location for visits to Perth and Inverness and family in Kirriemuir and Newtonmore

"We have looked forward to this short stay and it did not disappoint. Of the several places we have stayed in Scotland, it is the nicest. The location is idyllic and the cottage beautifully equipped and furnished."

October 2016

We have really enjoyed our stay in the Old Mill. It really is home from home. It's one of the best cottages we have stayed in - lovely setting, beautiful area and so quiet we have lunch sitting in the garden. Really comfortable. We will be back again.

The open plan living room has double height windows making the most of the stunning views and the wood burning stove ensures guests will be cosy all year round. A well equipped kitchen ( oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine) and dining area make the ideal space for entertaining.  Also on the ground floor the twin bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom. Upstairs there is a double bedroom, single bedroom and family shower room.

The cottage is enclosed by its own private garden with decked seating area where guests can soak up the lovely open views and relax whilst enjoying the gentle sound of the former lade which runs to the side of the mill.

Killiecrankie is a paradise for walkers and nature lovers. On a not-so-fine day? A blissful place in which to hole up and read, plan your outings, watch the weather. This is one of the prettiest areas of Scotland, with mountains, glens and some of the loveliest lochs more or less on the doorstep. The nearby A9 will take you swiftly north to the Cairngorms, Aviemore and Inverness. Perthshire offers an abundance of outdoor activities for all ages and tastes. Watersports, fishing, Horse riding, Mountain Biking and, for the more intrepid visitor, extreme sports, are all also available locally.

All heating, electric and logs for the burner are included.

Ben linen and towels are provided.

Well behaved pets by arrangement £25 per pet

Sorry no smoking in the cottage.

Like many rural properties in Scotland The Old Mill takes its water from a hill supply. The supply is full treated and inspected annually by Perth and Kinross Council to ensure it meets the stringent requirements for private water supplies. Occasionally after heavy rain the peat in the ground causes the water to become brown in colour - it remains completely safe to drink.
