Pitlochry is one of Scotland’s most popular tourist destinations, conveniently located just off the A9, in the geographical heart of Scotland, and between Perth and Inverness. The town is home to two renowned whisky distilleries that draw visitors from far and wide: the historic Bell’s Blair Atholl Distillery and Edradour Distillery, famously known as Scotland’s smallest traditional distillery. The renowned Pitlochry Festival Theatre, affectionately known as the “Theatre in the Hills”, offers an impressive programme of plays, musicals, and cultural events throughout the year. Star of stage and Hollywood A-lister Alan Cumming, is the current Artistic Director. Right next door is the Explorers Garden, opened in 2003. This woodland garden celebrates 300 years of botanical exploration by Scottish plant hunters and features an amphitheatre, art, and a diverse range of rare and exotic plants. Just a short stroll away, visitors can explore the Pitlochry Power Station and Dam, where the iconic salmon ladder allows a fascinating glimpse of fish leaping upstream during spawning season.

Gardeners Cottage Guest Reviews

Dear Bea, We had a fantastic stay at Gardeners Cottage. When we arrived at Pitlochry we were quite exhausted. But opening the door our holidays started, a fire was burning in the stove, on the table there were nice little tulips and the red wine was all I needed to relax. This was a great welcome. I enjoyed watching the birds having their breakfast while we had ours. The Cottage is equipped with everything we needed. We hope we can book with you again, when we are in Perthshire again.

The cottage was perfect well equipped and spotlessly clean. It was so peaceful but yet only a very short walk into Pitlochry or in the other direction to the enchanted forest. The owners Rita and Kenny were very friendly and extremely helpful the fresh flowers ,wine and shortbread were a welcome touch. It was just perfect for me, my husband and Dexter the dog and we would definitely return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend the cottage to anyone.
