What Our Guests Say

We loved our stay and wish it could have been longer! Lettoch Beag is amazing and will be recommending to others & hope to book again in the future. We loved all the little touches and how everything was thought of!

November 2023

We stayed at Lettoch Beag for five nights in September 2023 and would have been delighted if we could have stayed longer. The home is beautifully appointed, with high quality finishes and features giving it a very warm, welcoming and relaxing character. Sitting in the main living room is a treat, and the adjacent library is a great spot to spend a lazy day. The bedrooms are very spacious, yet cozy. While the A9 isn’t far away, it is completely quiet in the house. It’s an easy drive to Pitlochry in one direction, or Blair Atholl in the other. It’s also nice to just walk on the property and look out for red squirrels and deer. Steve and Kirsty are great hosts, friendly and interesting. Highly recommended. Thank you,

Dear Bea Many thanks for your email and we can both honestly say that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lettoch Beag. This was or third visit to this cottage and as soon as you open the door, you feel different. It has the most wonderful feeling, the cottage just grabs you and makes you feel so welcome and relaxed. Steve and Kirsty are just amazing hosts, they have thought of everything and as we have been several times staying at The Cowshed and Cowshed 2, it really is like coming home. Each of the cottages have everything you could wish for, everything has been catered for and if there is anything, just ask and nothing is too much trouble. There is nothing we can say, other than thank you to Steve and Kirsty so much for allowing us to share something really special. If there is one word to describe how we feel about the cottage, it has to be...................."perfect".

April 2023

Hello Bea, We all had a wonderful time at Lettoch Beag. Steve and Kirsty were so welcoming and helpful and the accommodation itself was excellent. Walks straight out of the door and up the hill where we could have kept going all the way to Aviemore, if we had been of a mind to do so! Already looking at how and when we can return. Excellent hosts, excellent accommodation, excellent location, cannot say fairer than that, thanks again.

February 2023

Dear Bea, We had a lovely stay at Lettoch Beag. The cottage and its facilities were excellent. Steve and Kirsty were very kind and welcoming. We would certainly recommend to others and would love to come back ourselves.

February 2023

We had a fabulous stay at Lettoch Beag. Warm, cosy, spotlessly clean, great location, brilliant hosts and a wealth of information provided on the local area. The coffee, bread and honey etc. provided on arrival was a nice touch. We will definitely be back and would recommend Lettoch Cottages to anybody visiting Highland Perthshire. Dave and Annemarie

There really is very little I could offer after what was a fantastic holiday. The property supplies over and above what you would normally expect in a rental property. In that sense it is the most catered for cottage we have ever stayed in in over 40 years. i.e. they give you more than enough of every day consumables. It really is home from home and the views are to die for.The hosts are really lovely and welcoming but in no way intrusive. We would love to return.

May 2022

The cottage, gardens, and views were truly enchanting and inspiring. It is beautifully furnished with so many amenities included. There is even a baby grand piano which I loved, and a library with many interesting books. Close to Pitlochry which has a coop grocery store, many shops and restaurants.

December 2021

This was a new destination for us, and what a find! We absolutely loved our stay and were really able to do some much-needed relaxing. The property is very well furnished, and the views are amazing - especially as the sun sets in the evening. Steve and Kirstie were fantastic hosts, re-assuringly available to answer any questions but not in any way intrusive. There are lots of beautiful walks both within easy driving distance and literally from the front door - ranging from quick evening strolls to big climbs and all really well detailed in the information pack. Would definitely recommend this property and definitely hope to return soon!

August 2020

Despite these strange times and limitations on our usual day to day activities the one thing you can depend upon is the beauty of Perthshire - and what better way to enjoy it than a stay at Lettoch!

August 2020

This is the most relaxing week we have had in a long time and simply sitting on the decking enjoying the views and the wildlife was a joy. Visits from the buzzards, deer and the little red squirrel only enhanced the enjoyment. We have to admit we were a little concerned regarding how we might be received by the local residents of Pitlochry and Blair Atholl, but the usual warm welcome awaited us. As ever the many cafes and restaurants were busy but well organised in terms of social distancing etc., and again the quality of service was superb.

August 2020

We returned from our stay at Lettoch having had another wonderful stay. Everything about our visit was first rate, from the pre-holiday information to the warm welcome from Steve and Kirstie to the extensive cleaning carried out prior to our arrival. Everything had been well thought through and there was nothing we found that could be improved. Anyone that has booked should have absolutely no concerns at all about their visit or the welcome they will receive from the local community. We have already booked for another return visit!

August 2020

Our stay here was perfect. The house is extremely comfortable, with a lovely, friendly, relaxing feel, wonderful beds, lots of space, & the most beautiful views. We were warmly welcomed by owners, Steve and Kirsty, next door, who are so fortunate to live all year in such a fabulous spot.

July 2020

Thanks, Bea It was all great. Visitors book filled in, Google review done, and memories still being savoured. Thank you for all your help with the bookings, which we had to change a couple of times. It must have been a nightmare time for you. All in all we had a fabulous, long dreamed of holiday, and were welcomed warmly by the owners, as the first post lockdown guests. Hope we'll be able to come again.

Dear Bea, We loved our stay at Lettoch Beag it was perfect. The accommodation was 5 star it had everything we could possibly require and more, we will definitely return and are already recommending it without hesitation. The owners were very welcoming ( loved the bread and scones) a lovely touch. Thank you for your kind attention and efficiency which was very much appreciated we would not hesitate to use your services in future. Best Wishes Dot Flynn

October 2019

We really liked the stay here, it was the second week of our honeymoon and it was fantastic. The welcome was great, quality of the cottage and location fantastic, and the cleanliness and facilities offered just perfect. A great big thank you for making it all so special!

September 2019

Hi Bea, We had a wonderful time and cannot fault our accommodation. We stayed at Lettoch Beag for a week end of August, beginning of September. The location is breathtaking with amazing views front and back. The house is very well appointed with everything you need for cooking and relaxing. The bedrooms are fresh, well decorated and comfortable. I enjoyed playing the piano while watching the baby pheasants wander around the garden. Steve is very friendly, helpful and a good source of information about the local area. Although remote, the house is still very close to Pitlochry and Blair Atholl so there is plenty to do without travelling for miles. I can highly recommend Lettoch Beag! Best wishes, Stuart

September 2019

We enjoyed our stay very much, as usual! (third time) and left very favorable feedback in the visitors book. The accommodation is lovely and everything has been thought of to make it a very special stay for lucky guests. Every time something has been added – notably this time a heated towel rail in the bathroom which we had found rather cool on previous visits. I appreciated the piano music and had a go! We had some fantastic walks , our favorite was from Garry bridge to Pitlochry and this time we walked back instead of taking the bus! Steve and Kirsty are marvelous hosts and we hope to visit again before too long.

July 2019

Lettoch Beag provides spacious accommodation with bespoke inclusions. The design is well thought out, with quality construction. The garden is very nicely landscaped and there is a beautiful view across the valley.

Lettoch Beag in Highland Perthshire

This two double bedroomed cottage sits on a hillside overlooking Glen Garry and the Killiecrankie Battlefield. Situated conveniently between Pitlochry & Blair Atholl its elevated position offers panoramic views of the wonderful Highland Perthshire countryside and offers five star standard accommodation for 4 guests.

The large open plan kitchen living area provides sociable integrated living space and the two double bedrooms both have large and supremely comfortable super kingsize ziplink beds which can be converted into full size twin beds if necessary. This property has been lovingly converted into a holiday let by the owners of The Cow Shed & Cow Shed 2 both of which are in high demand due to their situation and levels of detail and comfort offered. Lettoch Beag continues this attention to detail with all the latest mod-cons you would expect.

Steve, the owner, has done most of the renovation work himself including making some of the furniture, adding a unique touch of character to the property. The cottage has its own private access and ample parking for two cars. The garden, front and back, offers perfect outdoor space from which to soak up the atmosphere of the hills.

The standard of finish on this property and its location lend itself perfectly to friends wanting to share a holiday together in beautiful countryside therefore we are offering this as an ‘adult only’ rental i.e. 14 years and over. The lounge has a baby grand piano which we’re very happy for guests to use.

As in both Cow Sheds, the property is well equipped with walking & guide books as well as detailed descriptions and maps of local walks & cycle rides (some from the doorstep) produced by the owners, both keen walkers & cyclists themselves.

The accommodation comprises of:-

* A well equipped kitchen & utility space with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge freezer, microwave, toaster, electric oven & induction hob

* A lounge area (8m x 5m) with two large comfy sofas, a huge wood burning stove, a baby grand piano, a large dining table, a 40 inch HDTV, views across the glen to the surrounding hills with French Doors giving access to a decking area with seating for four

* A small study room perfect for quiet time and reading with a well-stocked floor to ceiling book shelf

* A central bathroom equipped with a good electric shower & wc

* A double bedroom with super kingsize ziplink bed (can be converted into full size twins)

* A second double bedroom with super kingsize ziplink bed and en-suite toilet (with bath & separate shower)

* Wifi access to a broadband connection for email & internet access

* Board games for nights in by the fire

* Binoculars to catch the scenery & the wildlife

* Walking poles & umbrellas

* Undercover & secure bike storage if required

* Ample supplies of wood for the stove

* Luxurious bed linen & towels are provided as well as all the general household cleaning products such as washing up liquid, hand soap, shower gel, toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, laundry liquid etc etc.

The owners Kirsty and Steve, live right next door, they offer the perfect combination of friendly local knowledge and on-hand support for the holiday property but will also leave you to enjoy your idyllic Highland retreat in peace.
