"Such a delight to holiday in this magical converted stable. The photos certainly do not do justice to this gem of a place. The Stables is a light and airy tasteful conversion, with great and sympathetic attention to detail. A home away from home, it is filled with lovely touches: the candlesticks on the dinner table, fresh flowers in vases, a fully equipped kitchen with Tupperware for picnics and tea lights for romantic evenings…everything has been well thought out. Its views are spectacular (and the weather was beautifully sunny). This has lead us to want to return in winter so we can try out the modern log burner! All rooms are beautifully decorated with pictures & ornamental touches enhancing the property while leaving it spacious and uncluttered. The outside private space gives beautiful views in all directions & is enhanced with wildflower areas with paths mown through it and a small orchard with lots of grass & cottage garden flowers. There’s different benches to catch the views and table & chairs for outdoor dining. Thanks to Clara and Ron who made us feel welcome but also gave us our own space. It was a wrench to leave & we look forward to returning to this idyllic spot. "

""This is a great cottage. We like the location on the edge of town, with dog walks from the doorstep yet within walking distance of the town centre. Although there are houses round about, it is quiet and has lovely views. We were very pleased with the standard of this cottage. Roomier than it appeared on the site, warm, cosy and well equipped with lots of nice touches. The new bathrooms are lovely, we've already booked for later in the year. Many thanks." "

"This has got to be the most relaxing place in the world. We chose to stay in Cow Shed 2 because we have had a busy few years and really wanted to have a calming, restorative holiday. Cow shed 2 is the perfect place to do this. We had the perfect stay. The property is so cosy and beautiful. Steve and Kirsty have such warmth, you feel like old friends immediately. I love this place! Cannot recommend it enough. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at Roneval and would definitely recommend it. It’s in an ideal location within a short walk of the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants of Pitlochry. The house was very clean and comfortable with great views, a lovely garden and plenty room for parking. In particular, the food at the Old Mill Inn and the ice creams from Scotch Corner were worth the visit. Also a trip to House of Bruar was great on a rainy day. There are lovely walks directly from the house and the exhibition centre at the Dam was very informative. Overall a great stay and would definitely return. "

"This was our 4th visit to the Auld Smiddy. We love the location of the cottage and the cottage itself is excellent. Being next door to the Moulin Inn is ideal. The cottage is easy walking distance to the town of Pitlochry too. We have 2 small dogs and the layout of the house and the fully enclosed garden and decking area are perfect for the dogs. There was nothing nicer than sitting in the Dining Area with the door open listening to the birds and the little stream running behind the garden. So relaxing! There are so many lovely walks to do from the cottage. Perthshire has so much to offer. We definitely would love to return. "

"The highest praise possible starting and ending with warm welcome from the host and polite departure conversation after 3 nights in luxury with everything we needed, provided and much appreciated extra provision of, for example, special coffee to use in the cafetiere which the host knew we'd be using daily. There was endless hot water and speedy, reliable wifi as well as quality TV watched from comfortable armchair/sofa. I could go on but the pictures on the website are absolutely realistic for people to judge for themselves! "

Hi Bea Just to let you know that we returned from our holiday staying at Roneval yesterday. We had a wonderful time and were really impressed with the accommodation. Well situated, lovely outside area to sit in the evening sun. The service from Home from Home was good and we will recommend you and the property. Definitely 5 stars.

Dear Bea We had a lovely time at Roneval again this year, so much so that we have already booked for visit number 3 next year. The accommodation was very clean and well presented. The location in Pitlochry is ideal for all amenities in the town especially the putting green and corner ice cream shop for our grandson. Kind regards, Joan
