"We really enjoyed our time at the Auld Smiddy Cottage. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of 5, and we liked being able to have a fire in the fireplace. It was also really nice to have two bathrooms. We also liked being able to stay in a house that was built in 1860-we loved the character of the home. "

We enjoyed ascending Cairngorm on the mountain funicular railway (near Aviemore) for the spectacular views, followed by a journey on Strathspey Heritage railway from Aviemore to Broomhill. "

"We had a lovely weekend at No.1 the Bank. The flat is lovely and 2 of us were originally from the area and remembering using it as a bank. The location was brilliant with MacDonald the butchers across the road for hot rolls in the morning. The facilities in the flat itself was spot on.Loved the way it was decorated. Comfortable sofas in the living area. The beds were really comfortable and the bedding fabulous. The shower was also brilliant and nice and hot. On our next trip to Pitlochry we will definitely be looking to stay at No.1 the Bank again. Just perfect as far are we were all concerned. "

"North Shire was a beautiful place to stay, a cosy and comfertable little cottage with all you needed, some lovely extra touches including Christmas trees and lights. A lovely secure garden for our dogs and back gate opening right to the woods and the banks of the loch was brilliant. A really nice area, and a short 10 minute walk to centre of town. We love Pitlochry and usually stay in hotel or B &B, but this was a great choice and would highly recommend this home. "

The location is utterly stunning, with wide-ranging views across the valley, and it’s perfectly placed for exploring the Cairngorms and their beautiful landscapes. The home itself is thoughtfully decorated — we felt very at home from the moment we arrived. We experienced a minor weather-related issue due to the sub-zero temperatures, but Bea and Stuart were extremely helpful and responsive, with great communication throughout. A truly beautiful home in a beautiful part of the country. We would thoroughly recommend staying here. "
