"We really enjoyed our time at the Auld Smiddy Cottage. The bedrooms were perfect for our family of 5, and we liked being able to have a fire in the fireplace. It was also really nice to have two bathrooms. We also liked being able to stay in a house that was built in 1860-we loved the character of the home. "

"Lovely cottage to stay at with friends, had everything we needed. The sunny dining table was a lovely place to sit and chat, play games and have a glass of wine. We also enjoyed the cosy living room with the wood burner when we returned in the evening. Great choice of restaurants for us en-route to the Festival Theatre. Would definitely return. "

"Lovely cottage. Everything we needed. Comfy beds, nice linen and towels. Clean and tidy. The kitchen and dining area were so sociable. Lovely garden. Our wee dog loved it. Great for Pitlochry just away from hustle and bustle but still a nice walk in. Lovely pub next door (not noisy). Great for a drink. Excellent for walks without having to take the car out. Would definitely recommend! Will be back! Bea & team very quick to respond to any questions! "

"We stayed for 2 nights, as some of the group had entered the Etape Caledonia. Was exactly what we needed ? A nice walk into Pitlochry for us spectators. Having a lovely pub nearby was a bonus, as well as having a garden to sit out in. I would definitely book again x "

"We had a lovely stay in Auld Smiddy Cottage. The history of the house is clearly explained and artefacts and pictures give a taste of the smiddy. The house is comfortable with everything you could need. We particularly enjoyed sitting outside in the garden, relaxing to the soothing sound of the stream. The bedrooms were bright and spacious. "This was a fantastic place , Auld Smiddy Cottage! The five of us all give it very high marks. The location was super, walking distance to Pitlochry. However, quieter than being closer to town. All the rooms are very well appointed. We did not lack for anything, in the public rooms as well as the bedrooms. Had we stayed longer we would have taken advantage of the lovely back garden area. All in all I highly recommend this wonderful cottage. "

"This was our 4th visit to the Auld Smiddy. We love the location of the cottage and the cottage itself is excellent. Being next door to the Moulin Inn is ideal. The cottage is easy walking distance to the town of Pitlochry too. We have 2 small dogs and the layout of the house and the fully enclosed garden and decking area are perfect for the dogs. There was nothing nicer than sitting in the Dining Area with the door open listening to the birds and the little stream running behind the garden. So relaxing! There are so many lovely walks to do from the cottage. Perthshire has so much to offer. We definitely would love to return. "

We very much enjoyed our stay at Roneval, comfortable and clean and with all of the associated comforts to help us. Access to local hills and walks and the proximity of the railway station and amenities meant we didn’t have to use the car.

Dear Bea, Thanks very much. We enjoyed our stay very much and the cottage was relaxing and ideal for our needs, being within walking distance of the shops and theatre, and well-placed for visiting many places in the area. There were beautiful walks a short drive away (Ben Y-Vrackie and the Loch Tummel circular to name a couple).
