At 1pm Santa and his Reindeer lead the festive parade from Birnam Hotel over the bridge into Dunkeld and Santa' Grotto. Dunkeld & Birnam' Christmas Market is full of wonderful crafts, gifts and local produce, with hot refreshments available, including hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream. More >
The Pitlochry Christmas Festival is kicking off the Christmas season with a fun afternoon for all the family. For the younger visitor there will be storytelling and a mini Highland Games. For grown ups and older children, there will be special offers in shops and cafes, a BBQ at Fisher’s Hotel, street entertainment and market stalls. The Finale of the day will be the switch on of the lights on Fisher’s Hotel Christmas Tree at 4pm. More >

The Cow Shed 2 is our go to holiday cottage, and any others we visit we measure against It, and nothing measures up! It’s perfect, it’s got everything you could need, it’s spotless, comfortable and setting is absolutely beautiful. The hosts Steve and Kirsty are a lovely couple, they are so invested in their guests having the best experience, nothing is too much trouble, and they go the extra mile (or several) to ensure everything is spot on! Had a most enjoyable 5 night stay in Otter Lodge. Scenery and walks were amazing. Locals very friendly. The lodge was fully equipped and most comfortable, giving us a relaxing time. Looking forward to returning soon. John, Jane and Hamish the westie
