The bustling tourist town of Pitlochry, is famous for its Festival Theatre, Hydro Dam and distilleries as well as charming local shops and excellent eating places. Just slightly further north is the historic town of Blair Atholl, set in the Cairngorms National Park, home to the impressive Blair Castle Estate.

Highland Perthsire offers endless walking opportunities from short forest strolls to more substantial mountain walks with stunning views. Mountain bike tracks, fishing, golfing and pony trekking are all available locally.

Loch Tay beyond Aberfeldy, is Perthshire's largest Loch, and offers excellent facilities for water sports as well as the Crannog Centre, the Iron Age stilt house on the Loch which paints a fascinating picture of early Iron Age life. At the end of the loch is the village of Killin and the spectacular Falls of Dochart.
